Which black bag?

I’m trying to decide between the LV neo Alma bb and the Loewe Puzzle bag. I want a durable bag with a top handle and shoulder strap which will not date. Which would you choose?

If you're focus is a bag that will not date, the LV alma was introduced in 1934 while the puzzle bag in 2014. The alma has definitely stood the test of time longer.

However, while they are both durable bags with a top handle and shoulder strap I still consider them to be very different.
The puzzle bag is more relaxed and casual while the alma bag is more structured and a little dressier (especially when it's black empreinte leather)

I only chose the alma bag because I prefer more structured bags. I also tend to dress up a bit more and for me, the alma would go better with my current wardrobe.

So I suppose you may want to think about your current aesthetic/style and see which one suites you better. And also look at the designs of the bags you have now and see which ones you reach for the most. And finally, of course, if you are able to, try them on in store!

I vote for the Alma as well. I have one in epi leather and it is super durable and classic.

I have an epi Alma bb and a small puzzle. I use my puzzle bag 10x more often than my Alma. Both are in neutral colors but the puzzle is just the most comfortable, carefree bag that I own. The only ”thing” the puzzle does not do that the alma does is dress up well. It’s a casual, chic bag. I use my Alma mostly with dresses or more feminine blouses. It’s a more “pretty” bag where as the puzzle is more of an “effortlessly cool” bag.

No, I haven’t decided yet. Finding it hard to decide actually. I really like the Loewe Puzzle bag, but I prefer gold hardware. However I do think maybe the silver hardware suits the black puzzle. I love both, so just need to decide which I would wear more. Wish they didn’t discontinue the midnight blue.

What I like about the LV neo Alma bb is the empreinte leather, the gold hardware and the fact that it is compact , yet roomy.

I like the structure of the Alma more than the puzzle. The Alma would age well in structure too.
