Which bag should I get?

Hello!

I am looking for an every day, durable crossbody that will look good with mostly casual outfits but sometimes slightly dressier. I want it to be fairly compact and not too large. I carry my iPhone X, lipstick, chapstick, glasses in a thin sleeve, keys, card holder, and a small little pouch of miscellaneous items. Need advice on which bag I should choose!

I have a Louis Vuitton speedy that has cracked a lot and the corners are completely worn out so I’m sort of afraid of canvas. However, I just love the look of it and kind of want to give it another try. Thoughts?

You’ve chosen some great options!
My friend has the croisette, and while it’s a beautiful little bag, it really does not hold a lot, at all. I have the YSL camera bag, and, while also on the smaller side, it holds considerably more, yet doesn’t look all that much larger. To give you an idea, I can fit my iPhone XR, a mini Bendel’s wallet, a pack of tissues, gum, keys, and a small/medium sized makeup bag. My friend can fit her iPhone, keys, and a very slim card case into her croisette. Both bags are beautiful and classic, but IMO, the YSL camera bag is a bit more elegant. It looks great with jeans, but would also work with a slightly dressier outfit! I can’t advise on canvas vs. leather, but I’m sure another helpful forum member will weigh in on that!

Thank you so much for your feedback!! Sounds like I’ll get way more bang for my buck with the YSL. Especially considering it’s about $500 less. I think I’m definitely leaning towards the Lou!

No problem! And yeah, definitely more bang for your buck...and with the $500 dollars you’ll save on the bag, you can buy a SLG or something else fun!

LV is a forever classic! YSL is so dated and just looks extremely cheap with the plasticky leather and horrid construction.

I liked the YSL Mini Lou. Liked the pattern and texture. Tassel is just a cherry on the top.
