Hello all! I have a job interview on Monday and can't decide which bag to bring and I would love some input from the experts!

A little background: I am in finance so typically dress very professionally, suits, silk blouse, etc. but most days I carry my Longchamp Neo Le Pliage in black to carry my work stuff during the week and my 8 month old son's stuff on the weekends.

Other options for the interview are: Fendi Medium 2jours in black, Mulberry Bayswater in black (I know, there's a color theme here for sure [emoji6]) or my Everlane Petra Magazine Tote in... you guessed it, black.

Any thoughts? Just trying to strike an balance of professionalism without being too flashy. Thanks everyone!

I would go with the Bayswater or the 2jours. I don't think either of them are flashy, but they do look professional. The Bayswater looks very corporate to me.

ETA: Even if they were obviously high end bags, I doubt that in a professional finance office, you'd be the only one with a high end bag. If the dress code expects suits and silk blouses, you can bet there's plenty of LV and Chanel and other premiere bags floating around that building. You'd hardly be out of place.

Well, seeing as all the styles you posted look very similar, you can't go wrong with any of the choices. None of them have obvious logos (like LV stamped all over the place), so any of your picks would definitely work. Good luck on your job interview!

Fendi or Mulberry here as well. The Fendi is winning out in my book. It is a bit more sophisticated without being flashy. It also appears to have an open top? That way if you need to reach in and get something it will be quite easy to do so. I think the Le Pliage is too casual, and the Everlane looks as though it would be floppy and fall over, perhaps causing a distraction.

P.S. I have not been on a job interview in over 30 years, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

either the Fendi or Mulberry...agree with paculina that your high end bags would hardly be out of place in the new office! If i have to choose one however, i would go with the Fendi. it looks more sleek and sharper, which seems suitable for a serious interview

Fendi. I'd be worried of looking tooooo stodgy with a black mulberry and a finance interview suit. The fendi is a little sleeker.

I've done my share of interviewing for finance jobs and I had to learn to dress less stodgy. There was the time I wore all black and was asked if I was going to a funeral. Then there was the time I wore a navy suit and was mistaken for an airline stewardess. I try not to be so somber anymore.
