I have another poll to post. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and share your opinions! Which 2 black bags would you keep? (Looking for everyday bag that are still gorgeous and I would like for a long time. I have 2 YSL WOCS for truly dressing up so it doesn’t have to be that dressy) I have an Alma BB in DE and love it but do I need both color ways? Help a crazy bag lover who got too many bags and can’t keep them all haha. I posted this in YSL forum too haha! My collection is fairly small as I sold off my contemporary to build luxury: Here is my collection for reference:
LV Speedy B 25 DE
LV Alma BB DE
YSL Large Niki Tote in Creme
YSL Wristlets turned to WOCS: Dark Beige with GHW and Black with BHW)
Coach Cassie 19 in Chalk
Coach Parker Quilted Backpack in Large Size
(Sadly trying to sell my recently purchased Lou Lou Backpack bc even though it is gorgeous, the Coach is more functional and spacious for the purposes of chasing the littles at the park etc lol I’d rather put the money towards a purse that I would want well beyond the toddler stage.)

I’m leaning towards BB in black and Medium Camera Bag bc I am a mom who could carry my essentials plus wipes or snack bar thrown in for kids. I love the look of the Toy Lou Lou and mini Camera Bag but they are on the tight squeeze size. Pre - kids they fit my essentials perfectly (phone, keys, cards, sunglasses in soft case, and a few little makeup items/lotion.)

I'd vote the Alma BB (dressier) and the Mini Lou with GHW for the following reasons:

- Option of GHW and SHW
- The Alma BB can be worn more formally, vs the Toy Lou Lou (though I guess you could do it as a handheld clutch or get a cheap chain strap and dress it up.) But the GHW Beige YSL Wristlet could cover the times you may want to wear the Toy Lou Lou.
- Scratching the bag with BHW as you have you have a Wristlet you are using with BHW.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply! I have to agree with you. I love black hardware but I do prefer it on the coated leather with a chain. It looks so edgy on the wristlet/WOC. Plus I bought it from YSL and if anything happens I’m reassured that I can get it fixed through them whereas I bought the camera bag from a third party seller. I like the medium camera bag a lot for its functionality buT for a designer handbag - I need to really love it so I’m ok parting with it. I do love the toy Lou Lou but if I’m being honest with myself it’s annoying to squeeze my phone in and out and the compartments are small. It’s so hard to part with a bag you love but you know it’s not ideally working for you. The Alma BB is so versatile and timeless and the Ysl mini camera bag is just gorgeous and functional as well.

Haha well I agree with you bc even though YSL is very much my style and I love it - being new to purchasing expensive bags makes me lean more towards LV bc of the history with the brand and how well it holds it’s value. I’m not looking to “invest” or make money on bags but it feels reassuring to know that they don’t depreciate in value as much as YSL. I also worry if YSL could be more trendy but I’m not knowledgeable enough to really make a statement on that haha.

Girl, your converting the YSL wristlet post - along with this - is really enabling me to buy one (along with a conversion kit!) LOL. Just waiting for the perfect colour.

I'm sure whatever you choose to keep and part with, you'll be content! :smile:

Haha yes - the LV crowd is almost unanimous on the Alma and I totally see why lol. I am almost certain that she is staying. She was the impulse buy that put me over the edge but she is awesome. Ugh I agree - the medium camera bag is so functional! The YSL group all voted for that one in 2 of my polls and I’m sure for good reason. I don’t wear gold jewelry - I’m a silver Tiffany and co girl so as gorgeous as the mini Lou camera bag is - she might have to be on the chopping block.

I’m also thinking I can put the toy Lou Lou and mini camera bag on my wishlist when my kids r more grown. The Alma’s and medium camera will get used more now in my life. I have the 2 wristlet/WOCs to wear out (which is rare haha) or cross body along with diaper bag or tote etc.

OMG!!! I get it - she just arrived and wow I will be keeping my Epi Alma bb for sure. The toy Lou Lou just got booted haha.

I love LV and YSL. I would keep the Epi Alma BB, and choose one of the YSL camera bags. The YSL will depend on how much you carry. I would personally keep mini because I don't carry much and prefer small crossbody bags. If you carry more then keep the medium.

That’s exactly what I ended up doing haha! I kept both camera bags. Sadly, I am getting rid of my toy Lou Lou and I think I’m getting rid of my Lou Lou Backpack. It’s a tad too small for what I need it for and I have a cute Coach backpack I can use that’s more functional. I’m keeping both camera bags bc I really love them! I am obsessed with the Epi Alma BB - prob my fav of them all! It arrived recently and I was worried it was an impulsive purchase but nope - the hype is real haha!
