I'm looking for a pair of basic stud ball earrings in 14k or 18k white gold, in a size smaller than 6 mm. Does anyone know where I can find a pair?

The ones I see on AAmazoon are a bit cheap (short posts, the clutchbacks aren't gold) and the ones on Blue Nile are all 6mm or bigger. I'd love some help here! I need a set for my 2nd ear lobe holes.

Look for a pair of labret studs or barbells at a piercing place or online. Many lengths and styles are available.
I love labrets, but haven't found any in 14k or 18k -- all of them are steel or titanium. Am I missing a good source?

Since you're looking for smaller MM balls, you might check children's jewelry. The gold balls for a child are smaller mm. You can try dept stores or jewelry stores. If a jewelry store doesn't have any in store, they could probably order them in the karat & size you want. It's just a thought.

Unfortunately children's earrings have very short posts.

Why I never thought of that! Thank you for mentioning it.

I wish Blue Nile would sell smaller gold and gemstone earrings than the ones they currently offer. I have several pairs of their gemstone earrings, they're such nice quality, a good value overall and I love them, but they're so honking big on my ears.

Me, too! I love Blue Nile. I have 6 mm gold ball studs from them, and a pair of knots that I think you and I have discussed previously. Their quality is very good, and the service is remarkable.
I'm in a financial transition now, but when I finally emerge I'm hoping to be able to get a set of diamond studs there. I'd like a pair in the .8 ct range.
