Where to buy standard, plain gold chains?

I'm usually a sterling silver girl, so know nothing about places to buy gold - who is overpriced, who is reasonable, etc. I'm just looking for a very simple 20" chain for a WG pendant. Any websites or suggested retailers in the US? Many thanks in advance!

i'm sure you could contact james allen or whiteflash to buy a gold chain, or just walk into any B&R store and you can get somethign there. they don't usually overprice chains unless its a designer store (tiffany, cartier etc)

Amazon usually has some pretty good deals on plain gold necklaces.

I don't know where you are located but the jewelry district in NYC has tons of chains and you can find some great prices but if you haven't been there before it can be a bit overwhelming...a lot of the larger jewelers also have websites.

Also, the jewelry section at TJ Maxx sometimes has some good ones.
