Ok I found it. I wonder why they changed it? This is my first new bag in over a year. What do the second set of numbers mean after the style number? For my swagger 27 that I just returned, the style number is inside the zip pocket on this little paper/cloth tag. Tiny little stripe that is easily missed
Are you sure the second set of numbers aren't the style number? I thought they were keeping the same number format as before, just putting it on the label instead of the creed. Can you post the complete number?Ok I found it. I wonder why they changed it? This is my first new bag in over a year. What do the second set of numbers mean after the style number?

I'm sure they changed it to save money. Now all bags can have the same exact creed patch. I've noticed the creed patches are getting smaller too so they can save on leather.
No, it's easier to counterfeit. People who are buying won't know to look for the label and it is easier to copy a label than a creed. In the past, creeds from different plants and different years, even different styles sometimes, looked different and we used that to help us authenticate. Counterfeiters tend to use the same creed on everything because it is cheaper. On premium designer items sometimes the only way to tell a counterfeit is the serial number, as counterfeiters will make the same bag with the same number over and over.I think it was also brought up about harder to counterfeit? because you have to search out the creed #'s? but cost cutting sounds more logical lol

So Coach has made it much easier for a counterfeiter to make a copy that will be harder to detect. If you think of it from their view, if people are more afraid of getting a counterfeit, they will be more likely to buy directly from Coach, so maybe they are hoping it will boost sales.
I couldn't find the tag in my swagger. I will look again.
