I know this may seem like a silly question as in the case of the Love bracelets they are not intended to be taken on and off. However, with a YG cuff coming to me this week I am curious as to whether you do actually wear your bracelets/cuffs all the time or if there are certain occasions on which you would avoid wearing such an obviously recognisable and expensive piece of jewellery.

I can't wait to get my cuff and know that I will wear it constantly in my spare time, but I am now wondering whether I can wear it at work. I know it sounds silly but I feel a bit self-conscious about it and what my colleagues might think. I don't want them to think I am pampered or spoilt as I do wear other nice jewellery to work too.

Do you those of you with bracelets/cuffs wear yours in the workplace or do you think twice about it? Are there any other occasions when you feel a Love bracelet is a no go?

I never take mine off and most people have no clue what it is and i like it that way. I wear it because I love it and honestly not for anyone else. I think with age you care less and less about being judged! So my advice wear it wherever you want! Enjoy life is short!

I think they are a bit less well known in the UK so your colleagues may just think it is a nice gold bangle rather than an expensive designer piece (unless you work in jewellery/Fashion!)

I personally wouldn't let what other people thought stop me from wearing what I love.

I agree about the not caring as you get older thing. :p

It's very well known among women and even teenage girls in my country so I don't have a problem, however, since I wear my Love in my workplace I avoid talking about its price or discussing Cartier prices in general in front of people who aren't familiar with Cartier.

I have the bracelet so I wear it 24/7. I do get compliments on it time to time but mostly no one notices or says anything.
Oddly, the only place I am uncomfortable wearing it is my nail salon ~ they go nuts over it and make me feel a bit uncomfortable. One girl even asked how much it was and where to buy it ~ I told her it was a gift and at Cartier. She didn't let up either so that's why I get uncomfortable wearing it there. Hopefully, that stops soon. :smile1:

I don't know where in the UK you are but in London I see so many Love bracelets. Everywhere! Even on the bus. So I wouldn't feel self conscious about it unless you are uncomfortable with your colleagues knowing how much it costs ? But you bought it so who cares what others think. I say wear it and enjoy it!

I think you should wear it anywhere you want! :smile1: the advantage of the cuff is you can easily remove it when you are doing housework, cleaning or in the gym and prevent damage. I only had one person who commented in it in the last 9 months since I got it, apart from friends and family who admired it. That person was someone I had just met at work who very inappropriately commented about the cost of the love bangle in front of my patient and my consultant. She then asked me if it was real. Oh the nerve!

Thanks for all your responses ladies! It was really interesting to read your comments, the general consensus seems to be that I should wear it how I like and not worry about what other people think - I am sooo bad at this (trying not to care what other people think) but it is beautiful bracelet and I have saved long and hard for it, so I am going to wear it with pride and enjoy every minute :yahoo:

I wish I saw more of them around but they seem to be quite rare in my neck of the woods, although perhaps I am just unobservant. I live in Hertfordshire but work in the City in London so would have thought I would see more of them about.

I do feel a bit uncomfortable about my colleagues knowing how much it costs, but then I guess if anyone did ask (which hopefully they wouldn't!) I could just say that it is a gift. One of my best friends has a Rolex and I know that is her stock answer if anyone comments on how expensive it must have been to buy.

Thanks hun, I think I will do just that :smile1: I love the idea of the cuff too as you can remove it easily depending on what you are doing, but it still has the same look of the bangle.

I can't believe how rude your colleague was ! :wtf: What did you say?
