Hi Ladies!

Where do you sell/buy used KS bags? I have a few I'd like to sell & I'm trying to find the best place to do this. Just wanted to see where was the *if any* popular place to sell your babies!

Thanks :p

I've had the best luck on Poshmark, which I see you're already on. You "just" have to constantly check the newest Kate Spade additions since the best deals are snatched up very, very quickly. Other than that, I've also purchased on The RealReal, eBay, and ThredUp (before they raised their prices).

I was wondering the same thing. I've sold on ebay but want to try somewhere else. Is poshmark a good start?

Ugh I've seen people try to sell outlet stuff for ridiculous $$ (acting like they're full-price retail items). Just make sure you know what you want and look out for fakes and/or differentiate between retail/outlet ! There's some good deals there once in a while :D

It's always obvious when people are outlet flippers since there's suddenly an influx of the same item on resale sites, haha. I agree: research is key for great deals!

I don't have luck on Poshmark. From my personal experience, things don't really sell there unless you mark them super cheap, no matter how great the condition is. For instance, I am trying to sell my completely new Celeste Blue Maise, which I bought for full price when it came out. I ended up not using it because I got the same bag in black, and I like how it's more versatile. So, now I'm trying to sell it for a hundred dollars less... But people only offer $125 to $150 for it. So you might not ever get what you ask for.

I don't know. Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but I'd hate to lose out on so much money if it's never been used. And I take that into consideration when I am purchasing something from someone else.

As mentioned before, Mercari is another site you could use. Unlike Poshmark, you get everything you list the items for. I've had better luck selling items there, but only clothes.

I sell on eBay and I resell my bags at a very low price. I have sold used bags that retailed $398 for $50. I have purchased brand new bags for less than half price there also. In my experience KS doesn't have really good resale value. But I would rather sell than have the bag sitting in my closet. I get tired of my bags quickly and want them gone. eBay listing fees are now free unless you add extra features to a listing, so you don't pay unless you end up selling. I would list it at the price you want and just choose a really long time period before it ends. It has been a lot easier selling my Michael Kors and Longchamp purses.

I think your Maise is in my favorites! It's one of my KS "wish list" bags.

I agree that it's definitely harder to sell on Posh. I've only sold a few things here and there. When it comes to designer bags, including Kate Spade, eBay is probably the best bet.

I'm too scared to use Mercari because I've heard so many horror stories about that site... That they sometimes shut your account down for no reason & you never get your money back

As for 3rd party site, I always buy on eBay. If the style I am looking is not available, I'll wait or maybe start eyeing other styles (as Kate Spade has endless beautiful bags!).
I think eBay has the most sellers and they sell at competitive prices.

I sold my KS bag on ebay, but I also have some listing on Poshmark and Mercari. Poshmark take 20% fee, so I usually only sell things that I really desperate to sell there. Mercari doesnt take any fee at all, but I read some horor story, I only sell items less than $200 on Mercari.
