Hi all! I am planning on ordering a white St. Louis PM from the Goyard specialist at Bergdorf Goodman tomorrow. I *almost* bought from Goyard SF but they do not allow returns, only exchanges (the SA made even an exchange sound like an exception to their rules, but said he would do it). When I am spending this much money on something I haven't actually seen IRL, I like the safety net of being able to return for a refund. Unfortunately for me, BG charges sales tax on orders shipped to TX, so I have to pay tax when ordering from them. But after I factored in Goyard SF's ridiculously high shipping fees ($45 for ground, $60 for two day), I decided that the +/- $40 more I pay through BG is worth it to have the option to return. Plus, the specialist at Bergdorf's is so nice and knowledgeable!


So, out of curiosity, where do all you tPF Goyard lovers buy your bags?

From Paris. I order via the phone and/or e-mail and then have the item shipped to me.

I don't have the option of return or exchange so I need to be very sure before I buy.

I have 4 Goyard pieces (1 Fidji, 2 St. Louis PMs, and 1 St. Louis GM) and I have purchased them all from Goyard boutiques (Paris and San Francisco). Not that I have anything against Barneys or Bergdorfs, it just sorta happened that way I guess haha! I am planning my next purchase from Bergdorfs though so please let us know how they are :smile:

Agree w/ SARAG505, all mine came from the boutiques but I was sure of my purchase. The safety net of return w/ BG is comforting if you are not absolutely sure of your decision.

I purchased my first Goyard (black St. Louis PM) from Bergdorf's and was very happy with their service. The specialist is super nice and happily answers all questions. I've been talking with her about the white for a while now.

My St. Louis and wallet is from Barneys in Boston. (love them!)..and my little pouch from the SF store - I didn't realize at the time the COST of shipping and I will probably not buy from the store again - Barneys is great for me and it's only one day to ship!

I purchased from Barney's Boston as well and they shipped it to me for free.

We must be talking to the same people....Ryan at SF Goyard and for me Angelica at BG. SF Goyard was wishy washy on exchanges, and BG was so much better to me with customer service and pics. The boutique never even emailed back when I had questions nor did they follow up with a call but the BG gal did very quickly! Will buy from her again....

I just am not sure if you want the mongramming....I think maybe then you have to get it from the Goyard boutique, right or ???

I should get my white PM tomorrow!!!:yahoo::yahoo:

Will post pics for you:smile: I already know I will want black on black next!

I work with Phyllis at BG, she is wonderful. And yes, Ryan was the SA I was speaking with at Goyard SF. He was nice enough, but I think Phyllis is more customer service oriented. She seems eager to help and doesn't seem as if she is just taking orders.

About the monogramming, you can get this on bags purchased from BG. They send them to Goyard for the personalization.

Oh, and be sure to keep your receipts from BG (or anywhere else). Another (female) SA at Goyard SF told me that having a receipt makes repairs so much easier. Apparently all repairs are sent directly to Goyard.

This is a little bit off topic, but I am wondering if you would be able to take a modeling pic (similar to the one w/your St. Louis PM and GM bags) of the St. Louis PM and the Fidji so that I can compare the drop of these bags? I would really appreciate it! :smile:

Oh, and PS.... what colors are your Fidji and second St. Louis PM? :biggrin:

Ooh I like this poll! All of my pieces are from Barneys NY, all with the wonderful wonderful SA Sheryl Isobe.

Best of luck, gwen10! I've never dealth with returns or exchanges at Barneys so unfortunately I can't share how they are on that.
