Wikipedia is not God. That article is incorrect. It even states it does not have references or cited sources. I read news everyday from Hong Kong, and they arrest hookers or escorts or whatever ALL the time! And they state very plainly that hookers are arrested for prostitution.

They arrest hookers when it has to do with drugs otherwise it's not illegal.

Does it really matter where the bags come from as long as they are
Authentic, not stolen, clean and available for purchase at a reasonable price. If the bag that I am considering meets those qualifications, I really don't care where it came from...

Just a bit of the underbelly of Asian culture. The term "Hong kong Girls". It is derogatory but this term was coined somehow! There are women who still do this as a living to this day. These women make their living as basically 'gold diggers', sleeping with rich guy after rich guy and requesting gifts after gifts, being mistresses. I'm not saying designinginstyle's comments are true but there's quite a possibility! Of course this doesn't only occur in Hong Kong or ONLY in asia, the term "gold digger" describes just that and is applicable to any race.

2.) They buy on ebay (usually through unpopular sellers and personal collectors) and resell (sometimes marking up the prices which I find incredibly irritating. But hey, that's business. At least I know how to catch up to their game. :devil:smile:

I totally agree with you. I saw a few buyers with hidden feedback (make their feedback private) bought LVs from low feedback sellers, then re-list those items at higher prices.
