Does anyone know a reputable online jeweller who makes one? I want one as delicate as the Tiffany DBTY ones! No bulky ears. And in yg. Any tips much appreciated! I know someone has seen one!!!

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my loose stone!!! I have seen some bezels out there that are bulky and love the look of my Tiffany's one!

The most delicate one I've seen bezel wise is the Brian Gavin one. But since you're supplying the stone you'd have to see if they'd do it. Mark Morrell might be worth looking at too but he's not cheap. Or Steven Kirsch.

I had one made by my local jeweler. I had an old chain I reused and it was a nice (and CHEAP!!) wy to get a necklace I love done. I took him some photos of the bezel and he made it up perfectly. Any jeweler should be able to make it for you.

Good call Ame, Brian Gavin's is gorgeous! His ONLINE CONTACT form, on the other hand, is BEYOND annoying! Can't get through!!

Omg yes. Agreed. Call them and see if you can get an answer that way. They make a VERY fine bezel. Some folks hate it, some love it. I really happen to like how thin it is.

Can we just get a picture of you with all your jewelry? :)

I'm just teasing because you have a couple of pieces that I absolutely love!! I think I need to treat myself more.

I called them but they said they really can't make one for the diamond to ship up here ... they need the diamond in hand.

Would you trust them Ame? Should I fedex my diamond to them to have them set into a pendant and ship back up here?

I have had an ebay seller send me diamonds via fedex and he just puts "repair" on the customs form and they go through just fine. I would assume that they could do this too but what a nightmare if I get charged duty on the whole necklace!!

People think it's really easy to find a great jeweller up here to do a bezel but it's not as easy as you'd think! I've seen some wonky ones, thick ones, sloppy ones... I LOVE his work (and Tiffany's - if only they'd do it for me!!) ;)

I guess I could wait until I go back to Florida but that could be a year! hmmmm.

Yea they HAVE to have the stone to make a bezel. A bezel is not something you just buy stock and pop a stone in, at least not if you want it to work well.

I would double check with them to make sure how they would handle the customs part of it. Because that's important. But I'd trust them to make one, sure. People send them stuff for resets all the time. If I sell my Kwiats I might buy some of their baby bezels actually.

Okay thanks!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE their bezel. It's the nicest one I've seen since Tiffany's. thanks for the recommendation!

I just wish it was easier to contact them on email...

oh my gosh, I love their necklaces too. I've been wanting to make a diamond solitaire pendant that my parents had given to me when I was younger into a DBTY necklace. Will email them...thanks for this thread and thanks to ame for the suggestion!

I know SKphoto bought a bezel a LONG time back from them (I think they've gotten better at them since her purchase) and the comparison to Tiffany was something to note: Tiffany uses shallower stones in theirs, and for the same carat weight Tiffany's looks "bigger". I think the bezel on theirs is partly to blame too but the stone is spreadier for the weight bec of the shallowness. So keep that in mind. I would rather have a BGD one in this case because I think the cut quality would be much better AND you can get whatever stone size you want vs a set size.
