When don't you carry your Coach bags?

I never take my Coaches to work. I work in a hospital (people think they are clean, but they are actually dirty and gross) and there isn't really a good place to put a nice purse. Plus theft is an issue--a few years ago I had money stolen from my purse (not a Coach) while at work, and I have never brought a purse there again. I carry a inexpensive leather "work bag" that contains nothing of any value, and I keep a Skinny Mini wallet in my pocket for when I need cash/ID.

I didn't used to take a Coach to my parent's house because they live in a dusty, dirty rural area (and aren't the best housekeepers)... but since I bought a little black patent leather number that wipes off easily and never shows any dirt, I use that as my "go to" purse for bad weather and places that aren't too clean.

My other Coach babies get "babied" and never get set down on the floor, or any surface that I am uncertain of, and often get held in my lap or on my arm. I have thought about getting one of those hooks that you can hang a purse from at the table when dining out, but I have been too afraid that my friends would tease me if I did that. Maybe I'll do it anyway.

I take my bags everywhere but certain bags for certain places. I take a clutch to the movies or a patent tote if it's raining, for example. I think harder about where I will be if I carry Gucci or LV.

I guess I didn't realize some states still let you smoke indoors in public places? I would hate to have to deal with that.

The casinos in WA let you smoke inside also. I used to take my swingpack, but I got rid of it and now I will only use my patent button crossbody bag or a capacity wristlet.

I don't carry certain bags in the rain but other then that I would have to say if I was going to a bar or casino (I don't think you can still smoke in most bars) when I was younger I wore a swing bag that went crossbody for dancing. I hold my bag during a movie and it never hits the floor period. (even in my home) My husband has even dropped me off at doors to avoid my purse getting wetter then it needs too.

I usually carry my bags everywhere except when I go to eat at places that leave a STRONG smell of food - e.g. IHOP and some chinese places - I noticed that after leaving those my clothes are literally "soaked" in the smell of whatever food is being served there so I would never take my signature pieces with me. And since I don't want to get food/grease all over my leather bags either, I usually take a wristlet or a cheaper bag with me.

I refuse to carry mine when it rains!! refuse unless its my Patent Editorial Zoe that way the rain simply slides off. i never put mine down in restrooms if it doesn't have a hook on the back of the door and i never put my coach on the floor. i've chewed people out who ride in my car and when i give them my purse to HOLD (cause its usually in the passenger seat) they will place it on the FLOOR! (gasp) lol :smile:

I don't buy anything but Coach...So therefore, my bag is everywhere I'am!!!!!I don't worry about the rain or snow either.I don't stand in it long enough for it to have an affect on my bag.In the end, we know Coach's bags are made to withold quite a bit:smile:
