When do you have your Rolex polished?

Hi,

I've had my Datejust for about six months and the clasp is very scratched. Both due to regular wear and once because the clasp hit a railing too hard (small and deep scratch).
So should i get it polished? how often do you have your Rolex polished? how is the result?

i couldn't take any good pictures of the clasp, so i can't post any pictures sorry.

I have and it looks brand new. It had a deep gash in it which was removed.
I've only had it done because of that.

I had a deep scratch on my Rolex too. When I sent it for servicing (not just polishing), it came back looking brand new. Every scratch was removed.

When you send your watch in for service, they will also polish it for you. Because of that, I would never have it polished outside of service - I'd rather have Rolex do it !
