When did your Antony start looking worn?

Hi people!

I may be the only person in the world wondering about this and I may be a bit strange for it, but I'll ask anyway.

I recently bought a brand new Antony (largesst size, black/silver) and i LOVE it. The only "problem" is that it looks so NEW, still fresh from the store. And one of the things I find most charming with especially Antony bags, is when they look (moderately) used and loved. I also find it a little impractical with the leather being so stiff. I must admit I haven't used it that much yet, partly because I like the Antony's more used looking (evil circle going on for me there, I know).

So when did your Antony start becoming softer in the skin and get a look of wear and love? Did you do anything special with it, or was it just daily use that did it?

Thanks!

PS: Also feel free to post images of your Antony and tell me how old it is:smile:

I had a heavy grain Antony (which I sold because of colour transfer) and it really softened up nicely when I took it to a hot country and used it throughout my trip. It was always soft after that! I had had it for around a year at that point and using it constantly for a week really helped.

I bought my ant pre-loved so can’t really answer this, jaskg is right that using it in hot/humid or rainy weather (and just generally throwing it about a bit) will soften it up, help build a patina and make it look used.

Thanks! I guess I'll just have to use it more then:) Can't wait to see it in a year or so!
