natural is always better. whether it's your natural skin tone or a natural tan. and by natural, i mean a nice healthy glow, not those people that bake in the sun until they look leathery.

Its the lip gloss that was off with Alicia Keys otherwise she looks nice all bronzed up. If she tanned she would've been of a similar color just not as shimmery.

Looking at closer shots the makeup almost looks spoiled. It didn't blend well and there lied Alicias problem. The rest of body from the neck down seems fine.

AK's makeup is caked on, that's all. As for the gloss it's simply not a flattering color choice for her. Lover her though.

LOL Alicia Keys has beautiful skin, just the color that it is, I suspect this is the idea of somestylist with notions of "enhancing" Alicia's African heritage, and the only way they could figure out to do that was painting her orange.

Fake tans are healthier, though.

It is possible to do the fake tan without painting yourself orange.


Another option is lotion with a bronzer.
