I am about to buy an Elsa peretti purchase. However I am having a hard time choosing between dbty, open heart, full heart, bean, mesh? What's your favorite Elsa peretti collection?

Diamond by the Yard is my favorite Elsa Peretti collection, personally, because it's classic and timeless. It goes with everything. And I absolutely LOVE diamonds.

That said, I also enjoy the Open Heart and Bean collections. They're recognizable and suitable for everyday wear. It just depends on your personal style. While I love the Open Heart collection, I feel "too mature" to wear heart jewelry anymore. I think that the Bean is more forgiving.

But again, DBTY goes with EVERYTHING, no matter your age or style.

DBTY and Open Heart are just about tied for me. The Open Heart is a little more sentimental to me. My first piece of Peretti and gold was the small Open Heart purchased at the Fifth Avenue Store. It was a gift from my dad.

Aegean....especially the long necklace in the large link and the bracelet. These photos are from a book I made as a Christmas card substitute last year....(sorry the hand is upside down!)

Does anyone know the order her collections where introduced?
I have collected her pieces for several decades. Some were designed before she joined with Tiffany's. The bone cuff, horseshoe belt and others were designed in the 70's when she worked with Halston. Tiffany's will occasionally "retire" a collection but bring it back out years later. I was told that the Aegean collection is going to be retired. The open heart has been her best selling piece. When her contract with TCO came up for renewal several years ago, it was reported that she sold the rights to the open heart for $43M.
