Hello friends!

Do you have a bag you reach for everyday? I’m looking to upgrade mine.

I have about four bags range from mid range to luxury that I don’t feel confident enough to wear everyday (Chanel, LV, Celine…). I usually reach for a vintage top-handle flap crossbody, but I’m looking to elevate to something more investment-worthy that serves the same function: Easy, casual but structured, brand ambiguous.

I love reissues of legacy bags, as I dress mostly in vintage. I’d prefer it not be too trendy or logo centric. The more inconspicuous, the better! I only buy preowned so budget is flexible, I’d consider anything from Hermès to Mansur Gavriel.

Thanks for your help!

Might be a bit logo-centric, but you can always wear it with the H on the inside and the pocket facing out, which is how I prefer -- Hermes Evelyne is my go-to practical bag. I'm considering a Jypsiere. They're beautiful but kind of a PITA to access, so I'm on the fence. Some nice options out there preowned on various sites now IMO. BV Nodini is a small, light crossbody I also find very practical. Used to have a Chloe Marci cross-body I really liked but chose the color of poorly. If you're looking preowned they might be hard to find but Chloe had a great larger cross-body probably around 2010 or so that was beautiful but never took off so way more under the radar than a Paraty (another great choice). BV had a less structured cervo crossbody out around the same time, but I went with the Chloe one. Sorry I can't remember the model name or exactly when they were produced. Bone-headedly sold mine years ago while holding onto some much less timeless bags, but if there are any floating around pre-owned that could be an option.

This was so helpful. LOVE the BV and the Jypsiere. Crossing my fingers you can add her to your collection soon!

When I can’t decide what to carry, I either go for my Coach Cassie, Chloe Paraty, or Coach Parker. I also love my PS1 in the Tiny size. For me, they are all under-the-radar.
You and I have similar tastes! I can’t really beat a Coach flap crossbody when it comes to grab-and-go. The leather is also the perfect mix of sturdy and soft for me, and I have trouble upgrading to anything else. I’m gonna check out the PS! Thank you so much.

I’ve always loved this bag but heard it’s a pain to get your hand in and out of! What’s your experience?

I absolutely love it! Own it in two colours, black & beige.
The first two weeks it’s a bit of a nuisance to get into, but after two or three weeks the leather around the zip softens beautifully and it’s an absolutely dream now!!

Also, the light colour I own has a beautiful wear on it, I definitely think these bags get more beautiful with time!!!! So buying one secondhand is also a great idea if you are looking to score a bargain!!

I’m so sorry!

I read the title , but not all of your post!

Mine is my most expensive bag, but to my defence it Does look like a thrift shop bag although I don’t love it any less!❤️❤️

At the moment I carry a pink Adidas backpack to work (3,5 km walk to work and I have to take my lunch with me from home) and in my free time I enjoy quite the opposite; I carry my small and medium crossbody bags. Decadent Kylie, Coach Cassie, Coach new Penny and DKNY Sofia have been my most used bags lately. Just the perfect opposite to a full backpack!
