Food What's your comfort food?

When I was a kid, my grandma used to make chicken soup every friday night. It took her half the day, and it was THE BEST THING EVER!
I don't have half a day to do it, but I've got my 10 minute recipe that comes pretty damn close:

-1 can of Target (yes Target) canned breast-meat chicken, (10 oz is like $2)
-3 large carrots (my supermarket around the corner somehow gets these enormous mutant-sized carrots, yummy!)
-fine-size egg noodles
-a couple of cubes of chicken soup boullion
-whatever herbs and spices you feel like adding, i.e. parsley, etc.

1. Boil 2 pots of water, one for soup, one for egg noodles. (You don't want to boil the egg noodles with the soup or they get too soggy and overcooked, which is partly why canned soup tastes terrible.)

2. Peel and cut your carrots, and nuke in microwave with a little water to steam, about 5 mins.

3. When soup water boils, add your chicken and spices and boullion.

4. cook egg noodles for 3 mins only, and drain.

5. Put it all together in one large bowl and serve!

Yummm, Chicken soup!!!! In 10 mins or less!!

Any type of pastry. I love that flaky buttery goodness. If I can't get anything fresh then I'll go for plain bread (or break with jam) or cereal. I love carbs. =/
