Whats the most basic and cheapest (or most less priced) type of leather for birkins?

I love hermes. But like it comes in togo, crocodile, clemence or whatever. But what type of leather is the cheapest or the most basic?

When it comes to Hermès, there is no such thing as "cheap". Here is a thread with current prices. There is a wealth of information if you just try searching. Epsom leather in a bag would be the least expencive (only by $100 or so).

Have to agree with lovely64, Hermes doesn't do "cheap".. There are many leathers that are durable for daily use, just browse through the reference threads. Epsom leather is probably the lightest to carry but togo is another good basic leather. Clemence and fjord are a bit heavier leathers.

Epsom but.......... In that case I would go preowned and get a softer more natural leather !!!! Because again the price difference really makes no difference and well.........a more " transparent natural leather is always best" hope it helps.birkel.

I agree with lovely64 there is nothing cheap about Hermes. Hermes has many types of leathers and prices will vary
