(If there's a thread, feel free to direct me, thanks. I did search first.)

So I was able to help someone with the purchase of their FIRST COACH BAG in a boutique store! Funny how we rub off on those around us...

Later that day, I was going to teach her about the creed, so imagine my surprise with the lack of detail-meaning there are no numbers or letters to identify the time of manufacture and whether it is a boutique/MFF. There is only the "This a Coach bag..." statement.

When did this happen, and why do you think they made this change? I feel as though they don't want us to discern between the boutique/MFF bags for some reason.

The change was made recently, and across both FP and outlet bags. All of the numbers that used to be stamped on the creed are now on a small plastic tag inside the zip pocket (I think? Someone correct me if that's not the right place to find it). Not sure anyone has figured out why the change was made yet...

^ She's right. It is inside the zippered pocket on a little sewn in tag. My theory is it was done to help combat counterfeiting, as some of them use real style numbers to dupe customers into thinking it is the real thing.

It will be a lot easier for counterfeiters to copy a little sewn in tag than a creed. I think that it saves Coach money, since every bag can now have the exact same creed.
