hi to all! i'm just curious how do you store your purses. do you store it in their respective dust bags and boxes. i'd love to see how you organize your lovely things. will it take longer for the vachetta to turn to patina if i just put it in the dustbag? thanks.. loving this forum, so educational about anything LV;)

I store mine without the dustbag, as I want the leather to breath plus I always want to see my LV collections every time I open up my closet. LV's always makes my day:D

lots of threads about this...try doing a search :)

i remember a previous thread had photos :)

i store mine in the dustbag and box...i'm a little OCD about all my bags ><

Old photo since I've acquired more LV's.

On the top shelf of my closet with my shoes. I store my LV's in their dust bags and I stuff some of the bags to hold their shape.

I have two on display, the frequently used on top of my drawers and some in dustbags :smile1: the patina may slow down when stored in dustbags too.

I recently just got the speedy b bag and when I'm not using it I try to keep it in the dust bag, however I find the bag doesn't fit in the dust bag when its not folded flat. So instead I end up folding it back to the way LV does it in stores, but I'm worried its going to further crease my bag?? Anyone else have that problem or do you guys have any suggestions to storing your bags?
:speedy:
Thanks!

I have the same problem with my keepall 50....it doesnt fit in the dust bag unless i fold it but I dont want creases. What Im currently doing (not permanent solution - I hope) is I stuff it with a pillow (standard queen bed pillow but for a speedy you'd want a throw pillow size) and then I put it in the dust bag as far as it will go with the flap on the top, so the bag is mostly inside the dust bag and the part that sticks out is covered on top by the flap. then I have the whole thing sitting in the giant LV shopping bag that it came in. And that sits on my floor beside my armoire. Not the best solution but for now it works.

The collapsable box I got with the keepall doesnt fit the keepall at all. in order to get the keepall inside that box I need to first fold it how LV does at the store to store them, THEN I need to fold the bag in half roughly where the handles are so that the two ends touch each other then stuff the thing inside the box....this scares the SH*T out of me and I bet this is going to ruin my bag in the long run....hence my alternative storage solution above.

I am hoping to get a cabinet that is actually from my grandmother and is an old lawyers file cabinet, its made of wood and have 4 individual sections that all have glass doors that swing up and slide in (almost like the doors on some TV armoires how they hinge open then you push them back into the cabinet - hope this makes sense) anyways when I move out of my mums house I want to have this cabinet resprayed and use it to display my LV bags behind glass so I dont have to worry about the dust bags. Alternatively I will invest in built ins in my walk in closet to store my LV pieces (and future LV pieces *wink* *wink*)!

For the speedy though I think you could ask your SA for a larger dust bag....a dust bag meant for the keepall should fit your speedy when its fully stuffed!!!

PS sorry for the long winded reply

Yeah I find myself doing the same with my speedy, just putting it in the dust bag as far as it goes. Do you think lv would just give me another complimentary dust bag??

Do you have a good relationship with your SA>?? My SA is great but Ive only met him once...but he would prob do it for me. The SA I saw last time when I got my cosmetic case was an absolute j*rk and I was so pissed but really needed/wanted the cosmetic case and live 3 hrs away so not like I could go back next week sorta thing. So had to buy it...but he didnt even box it for me. I also wanted a box for my Graffiti Neverfull and they wouldnt give me one...apparently the LV counter in Holt Renfrew doesnt carry boxes...I find this bizarre and a load of bullsh*t....as if they dont have boxes...and if they dont then someone there (the manager) needs to communicate with corporate and ask for boxes...DUH!!!!!

Sorry for my rant haha....I would suggest trying to ask your SA....or the next time you make a purchase mention to them "oh btw could I get a larger dust bag...one that fits a keepall"
