What's the best FIRST Tiffany's item?

hey everyone! I'm looking to purchase my first piece from Tiffany's; I've always been in love with the brand and its designs as well as the fact that their designs are a lot "younger," modern, and overall a little less serious and a little more accessible than other elite jewelry houses.

I'm definitely a yellow gold girl, which has led me to delay purchasing my first tiffany's item since yellow gold is so much moee expensive than their sterling silver. But that being said, my birthday's coming up and I'd love to take a first plunge buying myself Tiffany's. What are you all's suggestions for a not-too-outrageously-priced, not-too-flashy entry piece? Love to hear your suggestions!! The Paloma Graffiti Love ring has caught my eye (would love mod shots if anyone has any, both the regular and the mini), but would love to see everyone's thoughts!!

For a first piece I would buy something recognizable.

Peretti: Open Heart or Bean

Picasso: Loving Heart or something Graffiti

I love Diamonds by the Yard but would only purchase a larger stone (.17 or more). For me I think the smaller stones are pretty but I found as I grew older that I do not wear them. I want a stone with more presence.

It's really exciting to get your first piece!

I agree with Antiqueshopper and would get something classic or recognizable, which the bean and open heart definitely are.

The Graffiti Love Ring is really cute, I tried both sizes lately and preferred the mini. But you can't go wrong with both, they are beautiful!

Another option is the Tiffany T Collection, the T Smile Bracelet is fun. There's a diamond version, too, depending on your budget.

The DBTY is classic, too. You could get the DBTY necklace or bracelet.

And I would also take a look at the infinity collection, which is classic Tiffany.

Habe fun deciding!

Ooo so exciting! I remember the first piece I bought was back in high school about 10 years ago and it was a charm bracelet with their classic enamel box charm. Over the years I've bought more charms and I think I have about 10 or 11 on the bracelet now? I haven't worn it in so long because its so heavy, but I would also never part with it!

I think if you're looking for something in yellow gold, you should go with something from the Tiffany T line. It feels instantly recognizable, and I think most of the items can totally be dressed up or down. Also, not sure what your budget is, but it has some items under $1,000. I also like the graffiti line, but I'm not sure how timeless those items are (although I definitely own things, like the charm bracelet LOL, that I love and are completely out of style, so just go with whatever you like best! ).

I've included a pic of my Paloma Picasso Love ring below. It's very comfortable to wear! For your first piece, I'd also recommend something that's recognizable / typical Tiffany. I'd recommend looking at the Bean necklace, the T collection (love the Smile necklace or the T wire bracelet), or the Hardwear collection. Like others have asked however, what price range are you considering?

Thanks everyone for your kind and generous input!!! As a student, my budget is still pretty low, probably no higher than 600-750. I adore DBTY and the open heart/bean necklaces, but since I already have a couple diamond solitaire pendants (my favorite being my 0.30 ct solitaire) and just a lot of necklaces in general, I wanted to steer away from necklaces (although of course, when a larger diamond piece from Tiffanys becomes in my budget we may need to change that!) Ever since losing one of my diamond studs a couple months ago (they were only 0.25ctw nonbranded total so it wasnt a huge loss or anything, just shook me up a little) I've been hesitant to buy any sort of earrings that are either more pricey or don't have a secure locking mechanism. I'm still leaning towards the love ring, although I'm still definitely up for other thoughts! Also looking at the smaller smile bracelets, although i do want to save for the one with diamonds on it instead of just going for the solid gold... what do you all think?

I love DBTY necklace (old design)
This is exciting. If you can, go into the boutique and try on a number of pieces. I would recommend getting a YG bean necklace, DBTY necklace, DBTY bracelet or the Picasso love ring which you like.
Do you have a specific budget in mind? It would be easier to advise
I love dbty

I see DBTY is super popular!! Lol I can totally see why. Unless I go for the smallest size diamond, its likely to be out of my budget for now, especially since I already have non-tiffany's solitaires (one with 2 0.13ct stones, and the other being 0.3ct that I wear layered pretty often). That being said, "research purposes," what size do you all enjoy? Definitely looking to save up for a diamond piece by tiffanys as a next purchase and the dbty is definitely a contender!

Oh it looks so gorgeous on you! If you dont mind telling me, what's your ring size? I don't want anything too big since I tend to wear my jewelry 24/7, but I'm also a size 8 with pretty large chubby fingers lol!

I have the rose gold .07 and I love it’s size, but I like small and dainty. I’ve never seen .03 but I would probably recommend saving up for .07 if you think that size is enough for you like me, or more
I also really like Paloma Picasso’s olive leaf designs, I have seen the bracelets and they are gorgeous, here is the smallest ring
If you live near a store it would be fun to go explore and try everything on
