i keep sniffing my ulysses (togo) 
my epsom smelled great when i first got it! the aroma has worn off for the most part however. the toile/swift kelly i saw at my store smelled JUST like my bag when it came out of the box, it made me nostalgic for the "new bag smell." you're right, it's addictive!

hermesgroupie...since both my dogs are fresh from the bath...and wet...your comment really made me laugh.
My parents have a Golden as well and, I swear, when the buffalo bag got wet, I was reminded of him.
wet dog is bad enough -- but wet dog combined with shampoo smell is truly
. (it's nice once they dry, though.)
So far I own a togo birkin and a box kelly. Togo smells devine! I love sniffing my bag but just don't want to get caught doing it 
Box has a pleasant smell although not as aromatic as togo. Even my little ladybug keychain is slightly scented

I love the aroma of havana Evergrain calfskin. It must come from the extensive tanning process. Another good one is gold Vache Liagee and gold Swift calfskin.
My clemence has smelled.for years - but in a good way.
