It's most probably a mistake made in the Japan "catalogue". There really is only one size.

cancam, all I am saying is that the JPG Shoulder Birkin only comes in one size. There never was a 40cm AND 42cm. It has always been 42cm. So it's up to you to interpret it.

I would not be too quick to assume that your bag is not authentic until I can see close up pictures of it. Sometimes eBay sellers post wrong descriptions. A mere measurement error does not imply a thing.

Coz not patient enough for waiting list birkin in Singapore.
The waiting list is closed for birkin.
So am too enthusiasm to puchase from ebay rather than wait to get from H store in my home town.

Maybe the seller really put a wrong measurement, that's all. Do you wish to reveal the seller here? We can all check on the seller's feedback to see what he/she has sold before.
