What's my size in a Yoyo patent nude?

Hi ladies,

I am new to CL shoes. I want to buy a pair of the Yoyo patent nude but I don't know my size. Everything is so confusing. I hear you go up a 1/2 size but then I hear you need to go up a whole size bigger. I am normally a US size 9 but I wear a 39.5/9.5 consistently in Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahniks? I also have a very wide foot. Does this mean that I need a 40 or a 40.5? Please help me:confused1:. Anyone have my shoe size that can let me know how these fit you? Thanks in advance.:smile1:

You will probably need a a 39.5 or 40.
I am a US 8 and normally wear a 39 in CL's. I got these in a 38.5, so i went down a half size, but a lot of people found these to be TTS.
If you have access to a store that carries any Yoyo in the heel height you want, I suggest you go try them on then order the nude if you know where to find them.

I have wide feet too and right now I'm frustrated with the sizng of the YoYo's. I have 2 right now that are the same size as my Simples and other CL shoes and they are too tight on the toe box but the heel is loose. I tried the heel grips but then it pushed my feet forward making the toe box even tighter. I also used the pad for the ball of the foot and that also made the toe box tighter. I'm getting the 1/2 size up, hopefully, tomorrow and I'll see how those fit. You can check my thread out (I think the tilte is "I got my YoYo grease paint, but...." sorry I can't remember exactly, LOL!)

If these will be your 1st CL, I suggest you try them on in store.

I would say you need a 39.5 or 40. The only thing about the 39.5 is that it will probably be a tight fit for you up front since you said you have a wide foot. Any chance of you just getting both and then returning one?

PS, I think the 40.5 would be too big.

^^ That's my pre-order strategy. Get two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit. My new strategy is to use shoe stretchers and spray ... maybe this will work if you do find a pair and they are not quite, but almost are, a perfect fit.

I agree, I am normally a 39 in CL's, but have 38.5's in my nude yo-yos. My feet are also wide. I took them to the Nordstrom shoe dept. to have the width of the toe box stretched just a bit so that I wouldn't have issues w/ blistering. I would go with the 39.5.

I've tried on both the nude Yoyo with the curved heel and the nude Yoyo with the straight 110 MM heel. I wanted to mention that the sizing on these shoes is different. I mentioned this to one of my trusted SAs who mentioned that so many of her customers experienced this as well. She said CLs are now made in different factories, which could account for the difference.

Concerning the Yoyo 110 with the straight heel, I have had sizing issues with these shoes. I am a 7.5 US with a slightly wide foot. The 38 seemed to work at first, but it is a little short in the length - my toes come right up to the edge. The peeptoe area was also extremely snug. I also had the peeptoe area stretched, but my toes were still right up to the very edge of the shoe. My feet also swell a little in the summer and I just didn't think the 38 would be comfortable. In comparison, the 38.5 was a little loose in the heel, probably a tad long in the length, but this is the size I decided to keep. I cut up a heel grip and put it only on the sides of my heel and wear the shoe with a gel insert. They fit better for me and I don't have to worry about them being too small when the summer comes.

As I mentioned, the Yoyo with the curved/sculpted heel are cut larger in my opinion. I have tried on the 4" curved heel in a 37.5, which fit perfectly. I have also tried on the lower sculpted heel in a 38 and those worked as well. I definitely did not need to go up one full size to a 38.5 in any of the sculpted heel styles.

HTH!
