Chanel average price is £1000 - £2000
Hermes price is £5000 to.... :graucho:

What brand is price between them?

Is there a brand similar to chanel (can carry by your shoulder) but a bit more expensive?.. Since chanel is getting so popular around me I want to carry something a bit different

Depends on what you mean by "between"
For brilliant, hand-made bags without an Hermes pricetag, I'd look at Bottega Veneta, Delvaux, Goyard.

Cartier and Bulgari are lovely bags - innovative and beautiful. I also think they are a bit shoddy when it comes to the making. I'm also fond of Kieselstien-Cord bags - lady-like with an edge.

If you are looking for a prestigious bag - it's a lot more cool to have the $400 bag no one has heard of that is beautiful and well made than the $2000 everyone carries. Unless you spend all your time around people who just can't afford the $2000 bag, at which point you get the semi-awed "Is that a REAL ____"

I have a couple of Bottega Venetas, a Delvaux, and the odd piece high-end Gucci which can also be very pricey and gorgeous. I love valextra too.

Delvaux is also hand made throughout the process which makes it comparable to Hermes - here is my black box Hannelore, some more Delvaux and another Hannelore

They are hard to buy except on line unless you live in Belgium or France

It's not that it's hard to buy online, it's just that the shipping is expensive if you're shipping the goods to an address outside of Europe. I've found that the shipping is cheaper if you contact their flagship store rather than using the website. They will ship anywhere in the world.

We have a similar problem for lux goods comming from areas outside the EU

but thanks Mette, :woot: great tip about contacting the store rather than the web.
