What's a LV girl/guy like? This is Me! Saw this in the Gucci forum and thought it would be fun if we LV lovers have one also!

Things that scare me: My ebay won/purchased list this year lol! Airplanes, cruise ships, snakes, spiders, escalators, organized religion, LV's price increase (I couldn't help myself)

Odd things about me: I know many kung fu principles (spent three years helping daughter achieve her black sash), but can't personally do a lick of it. Hubby and I both have our Ph.D. degrees in Physics (although he actually uses his, while I love being stay-at-home-mom ;)). I tell people, "We are what happens when nerds end up together." :D And I wouldn't call the next part "odd", but I guess it makes us different than average --- we do have a mixed family, with daughter adopted from China. I sometimes (hand over heart, this is the honest truth), feel more comfortable with my Korean and Chinese friends than I do with my "same-race-as-me" friends. Oh, and I'm a really good at-home-problem-solver (seem to have inherited/learned that from my mother).
Things that scare me: Heights (I won't even walk near the "balcony" on the second floor of a mall. Heck, I even hate *step-stools*.). Large dogs. Water/boats (I never learned to swim, though I did make sure daughter got plenty of lessons so she would never have to share my fear.)
Current obsessions: Obsessions as opposed to mere interests? ... Um ... Our birds, bags, jewelry, old leather? ... I also find myself obsessing over making sure my mother/mother-in-law/aunts all have plenty of good, quality time with our daughter. We had a number of friends/acquaintances either pass away this past year, or get diagnosed with some pretty serious illnesses. It shook me up. So now I seem obsessed with making sure our "elderly relatives" get plenty of good time with our daughter while they're still alive and healthy. I even cried (literally) on the phone to my mother-in-law last November, begging her to please come for a nice, long, "proper" stay with us over Thanksgiving. I probably sound pathetic now, but there it is.
