Depends on the design. I own several Longchamp Le Pliages all in different colours because the design works for me. I don't need two red/fuchsia/purple/baby pink bags. One is plenty. I do own several black bags and if I could, I'd get grey suede bags in a heap of different styles. LOVE grey suede...
Same color different bags! Especially something neutral like camel. I have some articles of clothing that are different colors, same type, and I tend to wear one of those colors way more than the other.
It depends on the design for me too but if i had to choose between those, i would prefer same color different bags.
Naturally I will do both ways if I could afford. But if I can only choose one then it's same bag but different colours. I will tire of same colours more quickly than same design, particularly if the said design works for me and available in many pretty shades, eg Zanellato Postina.
same colour different bags. I don't mind to have all black bags but in various style and size so i can wear them in different occasion and different outfit
Both, if you include black, grey and a dark-reddish brown in the same colour different bags. I have bags and scarves that are the same bag different colours (sometimes skins).
I have large Gucci New Bamboo Top-handle and they're both grey, but one lighter, one darker with different colour hw. I also have the same bag in a med in Beige with a covered handle. If I could, I'd own that bag in every colour, size, era and variation on planet Gucci
