What would you pick?

I’ve been on the hunt for an everyday crossbody bag for a while. I’ve specifically wanted a top zip and no flap on the bag, I liked the LV Saintonge but believe this has been discontinued, and the dealbreaker was no adjustable strap!

I’ve just come across the Boulogne and I love it! I was originally going to buy the Prada re-edition 2005 in leather, but I think with the Boulogne being bigger its much better as an every day bag. Both bags are similar with the shorter gold chain.

Do you think the Boulogne is a good choice? I think it’s less “on trend” compared to the Prada so hopefully the Boulogne is something I can use for a long time.

i would say I like the LV better. I do have the re-edition 2005 and it doesn't fit a lot just the necessities and I think you will enjoy styling the Boulogne more.

I tried the boulogne and it was a bit small for everyday use for me. It depends on what you carry. I’d look into the odeon!

There is a similar bagatelle bag coming in the new launch to boulogne shape. Comes with two straps (one long one short for versatility). Zip top too. Detachable strap. Also Odeon PM / MM is crossbody detachable strap too.

Thank you for the info, it’s always good to know what else is coming out. I think I’ve found a pic of the bag you’re referring to, the shape is cute. Will be interested to see the different colours/materials this is released in.

Yeah, since they look quite similar in shape, might be worth your while to hold off buying first, take a look at the new design before deciding. They just had a PI in Feb, not likely to increase so quickly in the next 4 months or so. You won’t know which one would fit you better for your lifestyle and needs. Hope you find your true love everyday bag!

I purchased the Boulogne today and I love it! Some new season bags were in store but I couldn’t pass up the classic monogram canvas.

I think this will be the perfect everyday bag for me.

I hope not, I will be careful but at the same time want to enjoy my bag. The leather doesn’t wrap around all the way, so when you place the bag down, the surface is touching canvas. But I will be careful that my clothes don’t scratch the leather when wearing it cross body.
