I have been keeping an eye on Kellys on eBay, they seem to be selling for $3-5000 in good condition. It is a little on the high side but still a good price, especially considering the same Kelly would have sold for $6-7000 a year ago. I think you could bargain her down a little, but in the end an item's value is determined by what it's worth to you, so it's quite subjective.

Is it in new condition? Any damage to the corners? I got my '04/'05 (forgot which year it is) 35cm kelly for $4000 and it looks brand new -still has plastic on the hardware. Personally, I would pay $3800 max for a 28 if it was in excellent condition.

IMHO it is a little bit too high... If a near-new condition 32 sellier box kelly was sold for 3.3k, I would think a 28 retourne for 4.8ks is high... But it also depends how much you like it...
