If you can only choose one exotic alligator or crocodile bag to add to your collection, which one would you choose?

For the big Hermes collector out there, please share your experience with your exotic Hermes handbags! Would love to see how they aged over the years.

Since I'm not a fan (yet, never say never) of the B25, I picked either Mini Kelly II trench GHW Matte Gator or KP Gris Perle GHW Matte Gator.

I do not own any croc or gator H bags, but they are definitely on my WL and I probably wouldn't turn down either of the 2 above. If you had listed a B30/K25, however, that would go to the top of my list!

Thanks for your input! I want to have just one gator bag in my collection for now, so my SA recommended me to get a birkin 25 instead of the minis but I love the look of the mk and kp! So conflicted. K25 would have been cute as well but something about a B25 in exotic is just so attractive hahaha.

I think this would be my top choice as well! Black is a little bit too boring and beton would be too much of a pain to keep clean. Would have been different if matte gator in graphite was still in production but I think it’s discontinued for next year.

Alligator is so beautiful and special and elegant. Congratulations on this really gorgeous selection.

IMPO - these bags impress with the beauty of the leather alone and IMPO come into their own best without twillys ...

Since you only wish to have one: where, when, how often do you intend to use the bag?
The possible darkening of the handles, especially on the hand-carried ones - would that bother you ? - exchange would be an option, of course ...

I don’t intend to use it with a twilly! And you asked a good question; I don’t think it will be a day bag for me, definitely more of a special occasion bag for nice dinners and/or for an event.

I don’t like my bags to be too high maintenance and that’s why I sticked to non-exotics so far! But I’m at a point in my collection where it’s worth adding more special pieces, and I’m looking to add one in each exotic leather type (croc/ostrich/lizard). Honestly, graphite would have been the perfect colour if it wasn’t discontinued… my SA said he’s not sure if it will come back so he asked me to choose between the ones above.

My collection has slowly evolved into more exotics crocs in shiny and matte and ostrich and they are definitely hardier than I had imagined. I don't carry in a downpour but I definitely use and enjoy everyone!

That’s so nice to hear!

I have heard horror stories about shiny croc/gator, so I’m staying away from it for now. But surely over the years one might come into my collection haha. Trying to be responsible to limiting myself to one in each exotic leather category!
