I already have a Cassie so Rambler for me. But I do have to say I enjoy the top handle on the Cassie and it's fun to dress it up with a twilly. I think the Rambler holds more but Cassie holds a lot too. I think it depends a lot on your preference on how much you like the bag sticking out from your body. Due to the shape alone Rambler sticks out more than Cassie. Sorry if I'm no help. 
Cassie, I don't even know why. Maybe it's the top handle or the over saturation of the Pochette Métis. Although the are very similair the Rambler is just a bit more bland. Maybe the lack of a handle is making sure of it that you can only wear it crossbody so it's more a down to earth, no fuss, hands free bag. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, it's just not my prefered style
Rambler - more unique and better leather.
Rambler. I tried to love the cassie but I just don't love the pebbled leather.
That was what is holding me back from the cassie the leather but I like the handle though. I love the simplicity and anonymity of the Rambler as well.
Rambler. As mentioned above, the anonymity and casual, understated chicness of the Rambler is very intriguing. I feel like the style will age very well because it's already been around for decades and has been revived as an "Original." The Cassie is a bit too stiff for me, and I think that's going out of fashion, if that matters to you.
Decision made. They extended the 30% off sale to the rambler so a black rambler is on its way to me yay
YAY! The Rambler seems more unique to me. The Cassie feels like it's trying to be other bags (LV Metis, for example) while the Rambler feels like its own bag. JMTC
The Rambler seems nice, I own a vintage and it is one of my favorite bags purely by accident. The Cassie is a nice bag, I wish they had offered it in more colors. It is based off the vintage Court bag which I own and like too, but Rambler is one I reach for more often.
Oh, so sad about the Cassie in this thread! Everybody sees things differently, but I definitely like it much more than is described here. The leather is nice, the size is nice, the handle, etc, and I can't think of a thing to say about it that is a negative. I would choose it over the Rambler in a heartbeat for reasons already stated. Just having a long strap, and not having an option to grab the bag easily would bother me, and I do like the slim size of the Cassie. And as for the Cassie trying to be something else, to be fair, it is modeled after a Coach Court bag, which was around before many of the other bags the Cassie is compared to.
As for going out of style, the Cassie is a very simple, classic bag, and imo that typically never goes out of style.

Another vote for the Rambler style (personally, I prefer the Rambler 16 since I like mini bags). I will say, though, if they made the Cassie 19 with the simple turnlock, as opposed to the C turnlock, I might change my opinion. I like the option for all the removable straps on the Cassie 19.
