I don’t own a YSL Loulou bag. But, based on all the videos I have watched and research I have done, the small size is a very good size for daily use. It should fit your daily essentials - phone, keys, wallet etc.

Yes, you can wear the small YSL Loulou bag crossbody or double up the shoulder strap and wear it as a shoulder bag. I like the beige colour Loulou, but that’s just personal preference.

YSL Loulou is a classic style. If you like it, go for it.

I have something similar - the Mulberry Lily bag in black colour, medium size. I got it years ago as a birthday present to myself. Still love it to this day! The leather seems more durable compare to YSL’s. YSL Loulou’s leather is too delicate for my lifestyle.

If you are a student or your work requires you to carry a lot such as a laptop. I'd recommend you go for the Neverfull or YSL shopping tote. If you get the shopping tote, you'd still have enough left over to get a mini bag such as the Gucci marmont mini camera bag (looks small but can hold a fair amount) + it's cheaper to buy it on Ssense.
