What will be a good evening/ formal bag for gal on budget?

Honestly, from one gal on a budget to another, if you're only going to be using this bag 2 times a year, I would say just buy a nice nondesigner evening bag and put the rest of the money towards a LV you can carry much more frequently. That way you won't feel bad having a relatively expensive bag in the closet almost all year!

hi vanojr9, i thought to do what u suggested too . but yesterday when i went to a semi formal event i realise i need a louis to feel reassure i'm dressing great enough lol. maybe it's the bag snob in me .

Well, I consider and evening bag and a formal bag completely differently. I would NOT carry any epi as a formal bag with a gown. It's just NOT formal enough IMO. However, it is good as an evening bag out for dinner, girls night or whatever. For a formal bag I suggest the vernis sunset as it's dressier than the epi. Or the satin aumoniere.

I agree with either the Epi Pochette or the Sunset Blvd. Both are really great, timeless bags! Plus, the Epi pochette is an amazingly great price!
