Hey! There was a topic on what bag nurses where to work, and I thought, nurses have to wear a watch just as much. Well, I am currently an office nurse so I can wear my nice clothes and MK watches since i won't be touching much bodily fluids. However, I'm currently interviewing for inpatient hospital jobs. (*crossing my fingers I get the one that I want*) and afraid to wear a nice watch during the job.

I plan to reward myself with an omega watch if i get the job but probably not for wearing to work. What watches do you gals wear to work as a nurse?

I always use my favorite watch even if I am on duty...I didnt mind the scratches at all..its really necessary for my job especially in calculating the gtts/ min of the IV or monitoring the pulse rate, etc...but if youre bothered of damaging your watch, stick with the leather strap kind or the one made in plastic...i heard some nurses uses the pocketwatch kind or the one you just pin on your front blouse pocket...

I was going to recommend a gshock too. The Baby-g watches are my favorite... there are really cute and classy ones. Some have both analogue hands and digital seconds.

I use a fob watch that pins onto my tunic. For Infection Control reasons we're not allowed wear any jewellery other than a plain wedding band in my country. I actually really dislike seeing wristwatches on medical staff - they could be crawling with germs!
