What type of leather is used on the Edith bag?

Does anyone know what kind of leather is used on the Edith bag?

I wanna know so I can know how to treat it and maybe find something that will help soften my black edith messenger!

I'm sure they are done in calf skin leather, that's what my Edith Hobo is done in so I assume that the Messengers are done in the same leather. I too also have a black Edith Messenger and within a week or two of daily uses the leather improved to a soft buttery feel... With Chloe leathers it can only improve with time.
