What to do with clothing that I found out wasn't authentic?

This was a while ago, so I can no longer report it, and before I knew about fake designer clothing. I never wore these items, but I know I can not list them as being that particular designer since they are fake. Do I just title the auction "white dress"? Since "replica" and "designer inspired" are not acceptable.

I've seen most people list fakes as purely what they are i.e a 'designer' white dress size x' would just be listed as 'white dress size x'.

I've seen bags being listed with a fairly plain name and looking further at the photos to see it was clearly a marc jacobs or chloe fake bag. I'm not sure what the rules are though =/

I would donate them to the salvation Army or a homeless shelter near where I live. I would never sell fake anything.

It's against the law (and ebay policy) to sell counterfeits.
Even if you state in your auction.

Replica's have the designer name forged in the clothing and/or handbags, etc.

Designer Inspired is ok as there is another name or no name on the labels.

Since it is still a piece of garment, I suppose if you remove the brand name tag on the clothing and do not include the brand name in the auction description, you can still sell it as a non-branded clothing. Of course you won't be getting the same money back. Donating it may be a better option if you don't want to do all the listing work. =)
