what the heck is this?

hi girls, my mom got this at a yard sale, and I can't figure out for the life of me what it is. it is like a bracelet but too big? there is a little lever on one end that opens the other end and you can put things in it (I guess). since it is too big for a bracelet, I was thinking maybe it was a part to a purse or something? haha any ideas? the leather does feel real.

actually, looking through all the lovely pics of your bags, it does kind of look like what's on the front of the spy bags ...

Yeah---looks like some sort of spy bracelet? It doesn't look like it came off of a bag, as far as I can tell, but it's definitely similar to the secret compartment on the Spy bags.

It looks like the smaller secret compartment from the front of a spy, but I don't think it is from a real spy bag. The "Fendi" imprint seems off. The one on the real spy is engraved into the metal, while the one in the pic seems to just be on the surface. Also, the metal on the ends of the compartment on the real spy is a shiny gold, while the metal ends in the pic seems more buffed. HTH.

Stinam is right. I've seen fake Fendis at the mall kiosks with this metal finish.

It is indeed the spy lipstick compartment that has come off the handbag.

Apparently fake and real Spies have a problem with it falling off.

I just looked at my spy and it definitely looks exactly like the spy compartment off the bag, but it doesnt look real at all. It probably came off a fake spy bag that fell apart.

Thanks guys ... she thought it was a bracelet of some kind, but when I put it on my wrist, it fell off! I'm not familiar with Fendi much, so I had no clue if it was real or not, I just said thanks to be nice!
