I've been interested in bags for a few years but it's just been this year that I've made the leap to designer stuff. I bought a GORGEOUS Betsey while on vacation but while I was shopping around trying to decide which bag I wanted I went to tons of designer shops in NYC and got hooked. There were so many bags I wanted. Now I'm just working through the list, haha. I just couldn't deny the feeling of having a cool, expensive looking bag. Now I'm hooked!

It started when I was a teenager (a very long long time ago). My first designer bags were Dooney & Burke in the 1970s, then in the 1980s I found Coach. I just recently gave all of them to my daughter (she has her own collection of at least 30 bags). I have since fallen in love with LV, and just starting to explore Hermes. But it is a true obsession.

I've admired designer bags for a few years, and have bought a few here and there. But the obsession started last year. Since then I have bought a few LVs, a couple Chloes and several Balenciagas. Now Ive :banned: myself!

How is the banning going? I have tried, but when I found myself at the Hermes salem all resolve disappeared.

^^I know, ladakini!! I have fallen off the wagon several times!! I have actually been very good the past 2 months, and have stopped myself from buying anything. Although, I came very, very close several times. It is still very hard. In fact, before I logged onto the Forum tonight, I perused the shopping sites!:p

I'm impressed. I have the mixed blessing of living near Rodeo Drive. It's hopeless. I'm there so often, the SAs in too many stores know me by name. I don't have a chance.

Love those soulful eyes of your Drama Queen, by the way.

^^Thanks. The vet did tell us that members of her breed tend to be dramatic at times. And she certainly is that.

I work close to Union Square in SF, and, yes, it can be very tempting!

I've loved luxury items for as long as I can remember. I think it's because my mom always had fab clothes, gorgeous jewelry and expensive purses. I LOVE fashion, and my parents have always provided me with the funds.. I think they're to blame! LOL. They did buy me an LV at 16!

I started liking luxury goods at a pretty young age. For instance, when I was 13, I really wanted a pair of Gucci sunglasses (which I didn't get ofcourse! :p). My fascination for Gucci remained and a few years later I bought my first pair of Gucci shoes in an outlet store in Italy. And I wanted more! So I began dreaming of a Gucci handbag and waiting in the line for an hour to get that perfect bag on sale... But then something else caught my eye: the Dior Gaucho! I fell head over heels in love with this fabulous bag! And I was exstatic when my parents got my a medium denim one (on sale) for my 20th birthday! Ofcourse I wanted to learn more about my little beauty and so I found the Purse Blog and the Purse Forum; which really kickstarted my bag obsession!!! :graucho:

when i was in junior high . :D my mom and i would go to the mall and she'd give me a $10 allowance and i'd go to claires, which at the time, DID have some cute wallets.

then wallets turned into purses. my first personal big splurge was on a LV multicolor pouchette, matching wallet, and mirror and keychain to make the strap longer. i worked hard as a waitress when i was 19 but at the time, i thought it was worth it. spend well over $1,000. i just which i hadn't bought something that was sooo trendy. if i were to use it now, like 5 years later, i'd be some outdated hag LOL

before that, my first minor splurge was $100 on a coach bag. was VERY CUTE but i sold it to help me upgrade to the LV mentioned aboved :graucho:

Since I was in my early teens! My mom and older sister is to blame for that because they own LV and Chanel purses. It wasn't until recently this yr, when I started my career that I bought my first LV purse and more is sure to come.

I never had a thing for purses untill about four years ago, when my mom bought her first LV.
Shortly after that I fell in love with my Dior Gaucho and the rest is history.
Though I have to say that this year has been the first that I have bought so many designer purses.

Less than a year ago. It has been a busy year :weird:
I came across tpf, started to look on ebay for deals and found the best designer stores in Norway. Now i have bought at least seven bags, maybe more..

But tpf was the reason it started..
