What size hermes scarf?

This Christmas I wanted to get my mom a hermes scarf. But I'm totally new to hermes products. I found two scarfs on ebay that have been authenticated but I can't decide what size. My mom is 5'2 ish and one scarf is 16.5 by 16.5 and I believe the other is 35 by 35. I like the design of the smaller one but not sure if it will be large enough. Thank you for your advice.

The 36 inch square is the classic Hermes twill. I think the 16.5 inch is on the small side and much prefer the larger ones. It is so nice of you to do this for your mom!!

Honestly I don't know what I would do without my mom especially the last few years. She has always been so supportive of my dreams and aspirations. She has been my rock through difficult times and she is the best grandmother to my 1.5 year old son. I know I could never repay her for everything she has done. But I just wanted to show her how grateful I was for her. I usually get her Tiffany but this year I'm going all out for Christmas. Thank you again for the advice on the size.

What a great idea! The scarf is beautiful

We did this for my mom too! She is a world traveler and humanitarian so last year we gave her Donner le Main and this year, since it's getting harder for her to travel, a Le Femme aux Semelles de Vent shawl. She LOVES both.

I bet this will become a loved tradition for both moms!
