Hi ladies, I need some help planning out my next Chanel purchase.

I am a working mom with a 1 year old baby. I work in a Corporate environment and typically carry something understated to work. This doesn’t diminish my love of Chanel whatsoever as I use them on weekends and outings. I am trying to build a curated Chanel collection that will stand the test of time.

I current own a small collection of:
- black Reissue 226 with GHW
- black square mini with LGHW
- small Gabrielle in black and white
And some Chanel SLGs.

For my next purchase, I’ve been thinking that every girl that collects Chanel probably will need/want a classic flap (M/L will probably be my size of choice given I’m 5’3). With the price increases, I thought it would be better to get it sooner than later. I’ve been considering
- a black caviar classic flap M/L in chevron quilting, hardware undecided
Or
- a beige caviar classic flap M/L in chevron or classic quilting with GHW

A black classic flap seems like a no brainer, but with my small collection, I already have a mini and reissue in black- having a bit of a hard time justifying another black bag that is only slightly different in size.

I would love to add a beige piece in my collection, but not sure if the beige classic flap would be practical at all given its a harder colour to maintain and can only be a shoulder bag as opposed to cross body.

Another alternative would be a beige rectangular mini - but then I keep thinking that i should eventually own a classic flap in classic size.

Clearly I think too much and isn’t the most decisive person, so I would really appreciate your opinions ladies. Your thoughts on other options are welcomed as well. What should I pick up for my next Chanel purchase?

It seems to me that you already know what you want and to get but get distracted with many option/choices. An M/L flap in beige will complete your collection. Unless you don’t want a variety, a black M/L flap will be too similar to 226 or even mini flap given the M/L size itself is in between the two bags you already have.

Since you already have a 226 black reissue, the size difference between that and a M/L is small. I'd go for the Beige. For years I've been thinking about getting a beige, as I have 5 or 6 black Chanels already. I love beige and I wouldn't worry that much about it getting beat up, especially in caviar. You seem like a thoughtful person. Black will always be available, beige is a little more difficult to come by, but by no means impossible. Both are elegant and you won't go wrong with either, but I'd nudge toward beige in light of what you already have. Good luck.

That’s what I was thinking. I just worry about the beige being relatively high maintainance and it would end up sitting on the shelf...

Thanks! I was definitely hoping that the caviar will help keep the beige looking good for longer!
