Hi!

My first designer bag purchase was 5 years ago when I purchased a damier azur nevefull mm from the boutique on a whim for my birthday.

It suited my lifestyle back then when I commuted to an office with a laptop and snacks in my bag.

Now the vachetta is worn with some dark brown spots and the pink interior lining is stained it honestly looks tragic.

Lastly, my area is flooded with fake louis vuitton tote bags so much that I never really want to wear mine.

What should I do with this bag? I assume it's practically useless on the preloved market due to the state its in.

I wish LV had some type of exchange program for old bags!

It also doesn't suit my lifestyle now that I work from home and I generally carry smaller bags.

How do other people use their old beat up neverfulls?

I like the print however I feel like the huge tote bag isn't my style anymore. It also seems too used to try to sell.

Since it sounds like you’ve gotten your cost per wear with this, and it has been very loved,
I would suggest donating it. It would perhaps give someone else the opportunity to use it
Love this idea! If you can, get out the stains on the inside and then send it to a place that helps with outfitting people looking for jobs or something similar

I agree with trying to sell it if you no longer want it. The interior can be cleaned and the vachetta can always be changed. I've watched some interesting and educational You Tube videos on how to rehab some of these bags and people work wonders!

Clean it up as well as you can, then try to put it up for auction on ebay or donate to your local Salvation Army and get an hefty receipt for your taxes. Also there are places on line where you can get the vacchetta replaced off market in case you like to recycle it for yourself after you clean it

I'm thirding this recommendation. Perhaps a local charitable cause- something along the lines of Dress for Success- could take it off your hands. It would make someone feel very special, and as you know, it makes a great tote for work, so would be a very practical donation for a charity like that. They'd be able to pass it along very quickly!

I too was going to suggest donating. @jblended I didn't realize dress for success was all over, i have donated many times to the one in palm beach. Also love donating to shelters for abused women/children or places where the item will go directly to the person who needs it instead of being sold in a thrift shop.

I've seen variations on Dress for Success in different countries, albeit under different names.
I also love that you donate to shelters for women/children. @JenJBS also donates some of her bags to a shelter for women who suffered from domestic violence! It's a really beautiful way to pass items you don't love anymore directly onto people who could use and appreciate them.:love:
