I just bought the prada re-edition 2005 nylon in black as I wanted something easy for everyday, worry free and for my upcoming girls trip to Dallas for a reunion. It was a splurge for me, wif tax slightly over $2k and I was really excited at first. Now Im reading everyone is saying its not worth it as its not leather.

I dint really want another leather bag to baby like my YSL or Loewe purses. I wanted easy and carefree but still cute, but now idk, should I exchange it for the saffiano leather? Im not a huge collector by any means and I save up for every luxury item i own so I cant afford to get on the latest thing every season like a lot of people. What do u guys think?

It's the one luxury bag I'm close to ROI-ing due to how many times I've used it. It's so carefree and goes with a lot! My leather bags are just sitting pretty inside my closet.

Keep it. I had the saffiano version and actually sold it after 6 months, and bought the nylon version. I love the nylon one. Plus it fits more than the saffiano because nylon is so forgiving. I have the navy one and it’s one of my favorite bags.

It's a matter of personal preference. If you love it, don't be swayed by other's opinions.
Judge based on what you love and how your personal experience is with the bag.

I have the saffiano version and I love it. However, from personal experience, I discovered I am more of a leather girl. (2nd runner up would be canvas)

Having said that, I have used my nylon Longchamps extensively without issue and they are wonderful bags.

I was lucky to begin my Prada nylon collection when the price wasn't obscene as it is now. This was around 20 years ago and I still use everyone of these bags and have added a few more. It's really nobody's business what you paid for your bag or anything else for that matter. Nylon Pradas are carefree. No worries about the weather or spilling things on it. I had one of mine on the beach several years ago and got slammed by a rogue wave. It was covered with saltwater. Everything inside was dry as a bone and I cleaned out off the outside. Good as new. I have a red Prada messenger that I took to pick strawberries one year. I was on my knees picking strawberries and got tired of the messenger getting in the way so I tossed it ahead of me straight in the dirt and smashed strawberries. Cleaned right up when I got home. The strawberries were delicious too!
