many reasons why we buy that one branded bags:
1. Wish that bag is durable for very long time and later dont have to buy more bags which waste money. Does not matter how much it is, branded or not, quality is number one. Cheap bag may have better quality and design.
2. That bag is expensive. So buying that expensive bag means you are rich and have enough money and high society, so people around respect you more. We call it, for prestige reason.
3. The bag is usefull for making you more pretty and bringing stuffs. Let me say, big bag for bringing many many stuffs daily. branded or not is not important, as long as it is usefull.
4. Just buy more branded bags, with no reasons at all. Especially in discount sale season, buy more bags. Then too much bags in closet, have no time to wear them all everyday. Or People buy that brand, so you follow to buy that brand, no reason at all. So any other reasons?

I buy branded bags based on their reputatible designs and functionality. If the bag doesn't suit me, doesn't matter how expensive or beautiful it is, I won't buy or keep it. So far I have only found four designs that suit my needs; others I've sold or donated.

Yes i agree! Everytime i want to buy something, i think twice if it is useful or not. I carry many things, so i choose big bag. Sometimes it does not suit of me or the style is so so, however i still buy it, because i need it to bring many things hahahaha...and big discount price too...oh god :-)

I don't really buy for the brand, but for the design - I also like buying vintage designer bags for the quality and also it's nice that I'm not supporting exploitative labour situations.

It's happens that the designs and leathers of certain bags that I like are designer ones. Their combination of leather, hardware and colors are right and attractive to me but then again there are always a similar important factor I will consider is the functionality of the bag suits me or not. Thus I have mixture of non and designer bags. Quality and durability are not a concern if I m buying a designer's cos it is expected.

Today i see expensive bag brand. I almost bought but i cancelled. I think twice. I think i do not like the style, colour and so on. I only like the brand because it is expensive brand that makes me look 'rich' maybe and get respect from people. So i quit. Better not to buy something just because of brands, better buy something which is usefull for my daily activities.

5. I find the bag to be aesthetically pleasing and wish to purchase it.

I don't tend to use my bags all that often. Case in point, I wear my LV ixia once or twice a year. I get most of my enjoyment looking at it on my shelf.

It makes me feel fancy even when the rest of my life really isn't.
And, well, they're pretty. I wear basic clothes and almost no jewelry so they're kind of my embellishment.
Sometimes I feel weird owning a fancy bag because I am not so into shopping or clothes. It's an indulgence. Though I feel deprived in other ways somewhat due to my self/imposed lifestyle restrictions a designer bag makes me feel special. Like I'm worth that money.
