What R14K means on antique brooch

Would be grateful if forum members advised what R14K means on antique brooch.
I googled the hallmark - some people say it is solid gold, others - "rolled" gold at least
on newer jewelry items. I would think it looks more like solid gold.

Could be Rosenthal and Kaplan jewelers, NYC, which had variations of R 14 K over its decades in business. If so, the R would stand for Rosenthal and not "rolled."
