Can anyone answer this?

I was told that putting these ^ in your post means that you are referring to an earlier post. So is the number of ^ you put in your post supposed to correspond to which post above yours that you are referring to?

(^^ meaning you are referring to the post that is 2 posts above yours?)

Or am I totally off? Thanks!

The number of ^ indicates how many posts above is the one you're referring to

I always thought it was just for the post above yours I put a couple just so its wider and people can see it/dont think its a type. Nice to know though

Much easier is simply to hit the
