What Makes A Guy Creepy to you?

Wassup, ladies??

The guy on the far left looks very sober. :supacool:

Most of these examples are marks of neediness. Neediness is usually derived from lack of experience or success with women, which withers his sense of masculine validation. He NEEDS that validation and tries very hard to get it, which is ultimately self-defeating. It's an ugly, self-perpetuating circle of behavior/results, and it's hard to break out of.

Sadly, most men nowadays do not learn the full nature of this phenomenon and how they are enacting it. Even if needy guys read this, most wouldn't really understand the nuts & bolts how it works, it's full implications, and how it applies to them. Nor do they know what to do different - they've never been 'taught.' This goes hand in hand with a lack of understanding womens' mindset.
At least, that's my take on it...

Most single men I know act in this manner (albeit in varying degrees), until they finally get lucky and land a girl. Sometimes, the guy latches on hard(she comprises his validation), and serves to annoy the girl or even drive her away(smothering).

Conversely, the guy could just be a little 'off'....

Thoughts?

Snobbery, greed etc make me dislike a guy - I wouldn't necessarily find him creepy.

Creepy are the guys you wouldn't want to escort you home on a dark night. For that I strictly trust my gut instinct. "Vibes" I guess!

Any indication or "vibe" of any of those things, and I am not going to get to the question of like or dislike, and hell no I would not want him to escort me home on a dark night!

My friend and I were in a bar once and my friend whispers in my ear, "Don't look now, but that guy next to us has a big boner."

Sure enough, the dude on the next stool over was wearing tight bike shorts and had a big erection. THAT was creepy.

I have to say I go by the "vibe" thing too. Odd staring, innappropriate language or crassness, overly sexualized, uncleanliness, a lack of ability to look people in the eye, all of those things add up. I also get creeped out by guys who dress outside of their age group, like they are stuck in some kind of time warp and never really grew up. The "aging hippie burn-out" in his holey jeans and tye-dyes who says "hey man" every other word, or the "elder goth" who is pushing 50 but wears heavy eyeliner and whiteface... Maybe they are harmless, but they throw up red flags to me. Older guys who hang out with younger girls and "party" with them... eeeewww, creep central. I fear for my daughter.

I have to clarify that I treat everyone with respect and keep my creeped outedness to myself. I pick up on the red flags. It's just that I am aware of the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) cues that the person may not be well adjusted.

There is definatley a vibe, I think it is excessive friendliness. I was out to eat with my DH yesterday for ex. and the waiter was WAY to friendly with my children. I wanted to tell him to take a hike. My DH knew I was getting irritated because I don't like it at all when a man like that likes my kids what seems to be too well(It's like a pedophile vibe ). Then he made a comment about me, there right in front of DH. I was creeped that a guy would even sort of hit on me when I am with him!!!
