Hi,

If this kind thread already exists, please feel free to move this message to that one. :smile1:

What kind of agenda do you carry around? I had been admiring leather Filofax agenda covers at the local branch of a big bookstore chain, but had never bought one, because they felt too expensive for agenda covers.

However, yesterday I just happened to pop in without any intention to buy anything, and noticed that you could get those covers for half of the usual price. They were as good quality as usual, but they were the models to be discontinued, or something. I still felt a little bad to spend so much money, but then I thought that I'll use them for years. Besides, my life hasn't been too easy lately, and I thought I should cheer myself up.

So, now I have really pretty cherry red covers. :smile1: My old faux letter ones are pretty too, so I saved them, but moved the contents to the new ones.

And, by the way, I don't mean to brag or anything by saying they were expensive, in this case the expensiveness was purely my opinion, because I have never bought a leather agenda before. They probably wouldn't be expensive to you fellow forum writers. :smile1:

I really lucked out the other day - one of the big business supply chain stores here seems to have discontinued the brand and I got two Filofax leather agendas including all the starter contents and 2010 dated pages for $10 each. DH uses a different system but the pages fit Filofax binders and his was falling apart (after 20 years, so the OP is right, Filofax is worth the price because it's quality that will last). I'm guessing that store is discontinuing them because they also had Franklin Covey, DayTimer and DayRunner and they were all still selling for their normal prices.

I don't carry it with me because it's too big (and at work we use a computerized system) but so far I love it. I was using a DayTimer Pink Ribbon set but the calendar pages only had the times for regular work days and I mainly use it for home/personal planning. The Filofax times go 8:00-8:00 and that works better for me.

Love your question (I'm sooooo into office supplies and anything else that can keep me organized!).

I bought a black leather Filofax years ago and I still have it. For the last two years, however, I've been carrying a denim Filofax that I bought on sale, through their website. It's fabulous! I use the personal size--it works best for me, and fits in most of my bags. In my planner, I have several little clear insert pages to store prescriptions, receipts, and business cards. I also have pages of sticky notes, so I can tab a page, if needed. LOVE IT!

I use the free one my college gives out for school-related things, but I don't carry that around in my bag unless I'm about to go to class.

For everything else, I just use my Blackberry.

I use a pink leather kate spade planner. It is ancient but has held up well. It is the perfect shade of pink and I have been unable to find another like it.
