Food What is the signature dish of your state? (or region your your country)

I'm from Sweden so I would say Swedish meatballs with either potatoes or mashed potatoes(wich I prefer)brown creamy sauce and lingonberrysauce.

It's yummy with a plain green salad with tomatoes and cucumber to that and some sweet pickles

California - Cupcakes lol!

I'm a northerner living in the south (Atlanta) now. One of the dishes I come across in southern style restaurants is shrimp and grits. I recently used a recipe from Epicurious and made it with cheesy grits. It was really good.

Seattle area...salmon, salmon, salmon!!

You can go out on the town to a 5-star restaurant and enjoy it that way, or get a little more rustic and do a halfday tour to Blake Island and watch it prepared traditionally in the Native American style...alder-wood fire on cedar stakes. What a feast!!
